About the Constitution

The Student Union Constitution is the chief governing document for the organization. It outlines the role of representatives and the processes for operation.


The latest constitution was enacted during the 2003-2004 school year. Constitutional amendments can be proposed by legislation of Senate and Treasury or by fifteen percent of the student body. Amendments become ratified upon a attaining the approval of two-thirds (2/3) of the voting population during a referendum.
