Student Activity Fee
Student Union has one of the largest budgets of any student government in the country. This year our budget hones in at over $2.1 million dollars. One percent (1%) of each undergraduate student's tuition makes up the Student Activity Fee (SAF). Since our income comes directly from the students, we are directly accountable to the students.
General Budget
The sum of each student's Student Activity Fee forms the Student Union General Budget. The General Budget is developed yearly by the Vice President of Finance with the advice of the other Student Union Executive Officers and the Legislative Branch. Once the General Budget is approved it governs spending for the year.

Allocation Processes
Student Union makes annual campus contributions to entities like the Office of Student Activities, Community Service Office, Assembly Series, etc. These funds are used to supplement programs that benefit undergraduate students but are not effectively put on by any student group.
Non-category student groups receive a yearly allocation from the Executive Officers in the General Budget. These groups also have the opportunity to appeal to the Executive Council for additional funds.
Category student groups receive bi-annual allocations from Budget Committee. These groups also have the opportunity to appeal to Treasury for more funds.
